About Ækeir Brewing
Ækeir is the culmination of years of homebrewing, three commercial breweries built and sold and a strong desire to brew beer in the Belgian tradition. Sour and wild beers have invaded my brain and become something of an obsession. Kettle sours, Lambics, Gueze and barrel aged, fruited, unfruited, funky or acidic, it makes no difference now. I love them all. They all have their place in the great pantheon of beer. Ækeir produces artfully crafted kettle soured beers aged with a variety of fruits and spices, spontaneous beers fermented in oak for up to three years, wild ales made with locally collected yeast and microbes and even the occasional experimental lager beer. Stick with us for awhile, you’ll probably find something you like!
