Brouwerij De Sint-Sixtusabdij van Westvleteren
Vleteren, Vlaanderen, Belgium
The Trappist Westvleteren is brewed by the monks of the Sint-Sixtus abbey. Five natural ingredients are used to brew three Trappist beers: Blond, 8 and 12. They each have their own colour, taste and aroma. All beers are unfiltered and not pasteurised, with secondary fermentation in the bottle. All this contributes to the taste and aroma. The Trappist Westvleteren is brewed and bottled within the abbey walls and only offered for sale on site. Wooden crates of 24 bottles in the Abbey itself, and a small package of 6 bottles in the “In de Vrede” meeting centre. The Trappist Westvleteren meets the strict requirements of the International Trappist Association, and therefore also carries the “Authentic Trappist Product” trademark.

Geuzestekerij De Cam
Pajottegem, Vlaanderen, Belgium

On the border between Groot-Bijgaarden and Sint-Ulriks-Kapelle, there is a farm where agriculture and brewery are still being combined. Until World War II, this was the most normal case in the world in the region called 'Pajottenland'. After the war, people left the agriculture behind and decided to focus on the brewing of lambik. Not on the Lindenberg where the Girardin family keeps the tradition alive for four generations yet.

Brouwerij De Dolle Brouwers
Diksmuide, Vlaanderen, Belgium
The brewery's founder, Dr. Louis Nevejan, was a physician by profession. Recently discovered archival documents reveal that the original building dates back to 1835. At that time, the establishment functioned as both a brewery and a distillery. After the founder's death in 1882, the brewery was sold to Alouis Costenoble. The Costenoble family operated the brewery for three generations until it ceased production in 1980. Notable beer brands from the brewery's history include Coq Pils, Oud Bruin, and Cosmos. Historically, Esen was home to six small, part-time breweries and two distilleries, underscoring the area's rich brewing heritage. In 1980, the story of the brewery took a new turn with the founding of De Dolle Brouwers, who began crafting unique and artisanal beers. Their creations, such as Oerbier, Arabier, and Stille Nacht, have since earned international acclaim for their quality and innovation. Kris Herteleer of De Dolle Brouwers has also taken a deep interest in historical research on breweries in West Flanders dating back to 1900. This dedication was recognized with the prestigious 'Golden Hammer' Trophy, awarded biannually by vzw 't Hamerken in Bruges on March 27, 2000, for exceptional contributions to the history of brewing. Today, the family brewery carries on the proud brewing tradition of Esen, blending history with creativity to produce beers that celebrate the past while looking to the future.

Brouwerij Alvinne
Zwevegem, Vlaanderen, Belgium
Alvinne is a 1200hl microbrewery in Flanders, Belgium. It has become an official brewery in 2004 and is located in the village of Moen, at the edge of the Mortagne touristic area and in the area where the historic breweries of the old Flemish Brown beerstyle are situated. Their own yeast strain is called ‘Morpheus’ and was the reason to start experimenting with mixed fermentation, resulting in sour ales. Alvinne’s main mission is now to create innovative sour beers through a new style of Flemish blond sours by using the mixed fermentation method. You could call it the missing link between Oud Bruin and Lambic. Because of this, Alvinne has gained international attention and respect. We already experimented with over 30 different kinds of fruits, herbs, plants, berries, flowers and vegetables. Next to the sour range, Alvinne has an interesting beer list that were aged on carefully selected used barrels, such as Cognac, Porto, Sherry, Calvados, Brandy, Red Wine and White Wine. Since 2018, we have started our own Membership “Alvinne’s Fellowship Of Exceptional Ales” to give our core fans the priority to get hands on our very exclusive and limited beers. Brouwerij Bosteels
Buggenhout, Vlaanderen, Belgium
In the hands of the Bosteels family for over 200 years, the brewery relies today on the craftmanship of seven generations. In 1791, Jean-Baptist Bosteels established the brewery, and has been followed by generations who took over the brewery and never stop brewing, even during the world wars. At that time, the brewery played such an important role in the town, the family Bosteels were such influential people that we are not surprised that 3 of the 7 generations have been Town Mayors. In the year 1930’s Antoine Bosteels, 5th generation, carried on the brewing dynasty and played an important role expanding the sales of the Bosteels Pils into other regions such as Ghent, Antwerp and Brussels. His son Ivo Bosteels honored the iconic beer of Pauwel Kwak by bringing it back to the market in 1980; this is the beginning of the strong beers for Brewery Bosteels. In the year 1990, Ivo’s son, Antoine Bosteels, the 7th generation, understood the potential of strong speciality beers and especially the trend for blond ones. Driven by passion of the art of brewing and guided by his creativity, Antoine is at the roots of the succes of Tripel Karmeliet and DeuS Brut des Flandres.

Uncharted Brew Co.
Antwerpen, Vlaams Gewest, Belgium
Uncharted Brew Co. (Antwerp, BE) A one-man brewery doing things the untraditional way - small batches, big ideas, no compromises. Based in the heart of Antwerp, Uncharted Brew Co. is all about brewing on instinct, not instruction. Every beer produced is a one-off: no core range, no flagships, no repeats. Just what I feel like brewing, when I feel like brewing it. Expect loud, hop-forward IPAs, refreshing fruity sours, and stouts with a dark, decadent edge. Sometimes the beers go tropical. Sometimes they go tart. Sometimes they just go full chaos. But always with flavour, fire, and a firm middle finger to the boring and the bland. No marketing department. No sales team. No limits. Just a brewer chasing madness one small batch at a time and bringing the goods straight to the taps. If you like your beer bold, strange, and brewed off the map - you’ll find Thom there too, on the Uncharted path.

Oud Beersel
Beersel, Vlaams Gewest, Belgium
y Oud Beersel, which started in 1882, is located in Beersel at 10 km from the Brussels city centre, in the southwest of the capital. It is one of the last remaining authentic lambic blenderies of Belgium and well known for its lambic beer brewed along traditional brewing methods. Lambic matures up to three years in wooden barrels, whereupon it is blended to make Oude Geuze. Sour cherries undergo fermentation in lambic beer and after a second fermentation in the bottle Oude Kriek is born. This unique brewing process with spontaneous fermentation is possible in Belgium in the Pajottenland region, the Zenne Valley and in Brussels, because of the presence of a specific microflora. In the recent years, Oud Beersel innovated with the launch of the BEER BOX and BEER BOX FRIDGE, as well as by creating lots of infused lambics.

It is a small, traditional and family brewery. All the beers that are brewed in our buildings are not filtered and are fermented one more time in the bottle adding yeast. The adventure began with Pierre-Alex CARLIER and Marie-Noelle POURTOIS, the parents. The first mash was made on 24th March 1988. Kevin CARLIER, the eldest son, got a degree in biotechnology. He is now at the head of the brewery with Berangere DESCHAMPS, his wife, and Claude DESCHAMPS, his father-in-law. Cedric CARLIER, the youngest son, and Stephanie JUSTE, his wife, run the restaurant called ‘Le Fourquet’ which is situated just in front of the brewery. For over 200 years, the monks of Westmalle have been choosing to live a life of prayer and work. True to the Rule of Saint Benedict, they ensure their own means of sustenance. For this reason, there is a farm, a cheese dairy and a brewery inside the walls of the Trappist abbey. These three things are deliberately kept to a small scale, and particular care is taken of people and the environment. The brewery’s income is used to make the necessary investments in this respect, to make changes in line with developments in brewing technology, to support Trappist communities and to carry out charity work.

From 1875, he began bottling gueuze lambic. In 1898, Pierre Troch bought the brewery. But after the economic crisis of 1927, it came into the hands of Joseph De Vits.
