    Bissell Brothers Brewing Company

    Portland, Maine, United States

Bissell Brothers was born out of a desire to make something from our deepest interests and passions that would become a separate entity; greater than the individual sums of its creators. We believe that great beer comes from a commitment to be constantly challenging the perceptions of what different styles of beers can actually become. The second we settle, the second we say that a beer has been taken as far as it can go, we start losing. The proverbial mountaintop exists only in our minds. Always be climbing, always be pushing forward. The next, and equally important commitment, is to the process. There is serenity to be found in even the most menial, repetitive task. There are always ways to improve yourself and your methods, hiding just below the surface. The parties, jokes, and fun we seem to be having? We have created our own world in which to reside, and we love sharing it with all those that want to partake. I promise you, there is no greater joy, professionally. The painfully fleeting span of the human life is much too short and precious to spend it being anything less than the best you can possibly be in your chosen vocation. We love the work we do, for its own sake. We spend every day trying to get better, and we treat the opportunity to give this beer to the people of Maine every week as the gift that it is. Thank you for drinking.

    Belleflower Brewing

    Portland, Maine, United States

Belleflower is co-owned by the Page and Bonadies families. Our collaboration started ten years ago when Zach and Nick met as homebrewers who volunteered to help launch Trillium Brewing Company. After moving to Portland with his family, Zach worked at Lone Pine Brewing Company where he facilitated their expansion and brewed some great beers. Nick coordinated Trillium's expansion projects before combining creative energies with Zach, Melissa, and Katie to bring you Belleflower Brewing Company. Zach and Nick bring a combined fifteen + years of brewing and operations experience in the craft beer industry to Belleflower and co-lead both. Melissa is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with a Master’s in Clinical Nutrition and manages Belleflower's food programs. Katie is a writer working for nearby artist studios and provides the creative direction behind Belleflower's voice. Belleflower is named after Nick’s family farm, which has been a gathering place for generations of family and friends for the past two centuries. Named for a beloved apple tree that fell many years ago, the trunk of the "belleflower tree" has since been repurposed as a decorative beam in the barn. Today it is a reminder of the enduring grit and ingenuity of New Englanders. Like the generations that came before us and the breweries that have raised us, Belleflower Brewing Company hopes to continue this legacy by creating a gathering place for many more generations to love.

    Argenta Brewing Company

    Portland, Maine, United States

Argenta is a brewery and tasting room in West Bayside and Portland, Maine’s only β€œlager beer saloon!” Ryan Dunlap, owner and operator, is originally from Nevada where the word, Argenta, first inspired him. Argenta was a silver mine in the 1860’s but quickly crumbled and now sits as one of the hundreds of ghost towns in the state. This silver mine was the namesake of Ryan’s college dorm, and thus a beer company was born. β€œWhat drives us here at Argenta is very simple: leave it better than you found it. We can all strive to leave everything a little better than how we found it.” - Ryan Come say howdy sometime!

    Γ†keir Brewing

    Boothbay, Maine, United States

Γ†keir is the culmination of years of homebrewing, three commercial breweries built and sold and a strong desire to brew beer in the Belgian tradition. Sour and wild beers have invaded my brain and become something of an obsession. Kettle sours, Lambics, Gueze and barrel aged, fruited, unfruited, funky or acidic, it makes no difference now. I love them all. They all have their place in the great pantheon of beer. Γ†keir produces artfully crafted kettle soured beers aged with a variety of fruits and spices, spontaneous beers fermented in oak for up to three years, wild ales made with locally collected yeast and microbes and even the occasional experimental lager beer. Stick with us for awhile, you’ll probably find something you like!

    Westport Island, Maine, United States

Sasanoa Brewing is a rustic, coastal brewery located at Tarbox Farm on the end of an island. We find inspiration on the farm, from our natural surroundings, and the rocky coast of Maine. Our name comes from the Sasanoa River which flows past our farm connecting the Kennebec River to the Sheepscot River. We are proud to be Maine's first MOFGA certified organic brewery and one of 8 certified organic breweries in the country. Our first round of farm beers are brewed with 100% Maine grown organic ingredients including some from our own organic farm. We hope to continue to support organic grain farmers, organic hop growers, and organic malting facilities in Maine.

    On a Plain Brewing

    Lyman, Maine, United States

After nearly a decade of home brewing, we decided it was time to sell our beer legally. In the Spring of 2018, we formed our LLC and started looking for locations to make our beer. After months of searching without satisfaction, we decided the best place to build was our own backyard in Lyman, ME. Initially breaking ground in the fall of 2019, we endured the hardships of Covid and went through a never-ending series of setbacks and delays. Without further ado, We are more than excited to be sharing our beers with our neighbors in the Summer of 2024 and beyond.

    Monhegan Brewing Company

    Monhegan, Maine, United States

Monhegan Brewing Company is a family owned and operated small brewery. Owned by Matt and Mary Weber, residents of Monhegan Island, and also Mary's father, Danny McGovern. Danny began his brewing career in 1992 when he opened Lake St. George Brewing Company. He went on to brew at other midcoast Maine breweries for the last 20 years prior to taking the plunge into brewery ownership again. A respected member of the Maine brewing community, Danny (a self-proclaimed hophead) specializes in delicious "big" IPAs and spectacular malt-forward stouts. He oversees every brew at Monhegan Brewing Company while passing on his craft to Matt and Mary. Our craft brewery is located on Lobster Cove road on the edge of the village. Adjacent to Matt and Mary's house and Matt's lobster trap yard, ours is a 7 barrel system and likely the only one in the U.S. you can't drive a car to! We use all Weyerman German malt and a wide array of hops, some grown right on the island. The local farmer's co-op uses our spent mash to fertilize and mulch their numerous plots and also their hop yard. We brew 8 months a year, April through the end of November, with the last few batches aging over the winter months.

    Turning Page Farm Brewery

    Monson, Maine, United States

Turning the Page in the next chapter of our lives is all about following our passions. For Joy this was goats and artisan cheese, for Tim it was all about beer. Our farm has developed into a place where we do what we love. Living our intentions. Tim’s extensive experience as a beer connoisseur (avid beer drinker) led to an interest in brewing during our eight years in Munich, Germany. Living in Bavaria provided ample opportunity to drink the rich lager beers that make Munich famous but variety was lacking. He found mentors and a peer group that offered a chance to explore and create other types of beer as well. This period also offered the opportunity to step into the commercial brewing world as an occasional guest brewer at Richelbrau. Our hope is to bring small batch freshness to our beers and small town charm to our tasting room. Life in Munich was centered on beer gardens and the leisurely pace of life sitting under shade trees or tents eating pretzels and cheese while sampling local beers. Our hope is to bring a piece of that to you when you visit our farm.
