About Fat Rooster
Proud to be local, we wanted a name that was not only catchy, quirky with personality, but somehow paid respect to the culture of the fast-paced neon-illuminated city we all know and love. It didn’t take us long to connect the dots, have an epiphany and see the light!With most cultures embracing the rooster as sign of illumination – ranking tenth in the Chinese Zodiac – and it symbol meanings being as vibrant and diverse as its shimmering plumage, we decided to name our brewery Fat Rooster Brewing Co. Characterized as trailblazers, honest, diverse, creative, courageous and strong, we feel it best embodies our brewery and our adventure to represent the market with out-of-the-box local creations that are undeniably & proudly made in Hong Kong.
