About Companhia União de Cervejas de Angola

The Cuca beer was born in 1947, under the company name CUCA-Beer Union of Angola, SARL, with a capital of 5000 tales, being a daughter company of Beers Center Portuguese. On 26 May 1976, the Government of Angola confiscated Cuca and nationalized it, after the inauguration of the brewing industry Restructuring Commission. It is manufactured in Luanda and Catumbela, in the municipality of Lobito, in Benguela province. Production in Benguela amounts to 60,000 crates a day.
