On 26 May 1976, the Government of Angola confiscated Cuca and nationalized it, after the inauguration of the brewing industry Restructuring Commission. It is manufactured in Luanda and Catumbela, in the municipality of Lobito, in Benguela province. Production in Benguela amounts to 60,000 crates a day.
