About Baltic Fleet Brewery

Wapping brewery is the brewery in the cellars of the Baltic Fleet pub. We are Merseyside's only brewpub. It's a 4 BBL brewery, meaning in one brew we can make 4 brewers barrels of beer. A brewers barrel is 36 gallons so one brew provides the pub with 1152 pints. Stan Shaw is one of the finest traditional brewers in England and we are lucky to have had him brewing up a storm for the last 13 years. With 136 recipes up his sleeve regulars are constantly treated to an ever changing line up of fine national award winning ales to surprise and delight the discerning lover of traditional English ale. Stan stepped down as brewer in Feb 2014 (having brewed over a million pints!) with Angus Morrison stepping up to keep the beer flowing. Angus has trained under Stan and has a passion for beer that should see some new brews joining the regular line up. Since taking the reigns in the brewery Angus has brewed several well received new beers and recently brewed the 1000th batch of beer for the brewery meaning since 2001 Wapping brewery has produced 1,144,000 pints! The Gyle 1000 beer should be available at the bar before Christmas 2014.
