Green Man Brewery
Asheville, North Carolina, United States
The legendary Green Man has existed for centuries but it’s no myth that he’s been brewing award-winning ales in Asheville since 1997. As one of North Carolina’s original breweries, Green Man has been producing some of the beer scene’s most iconic ales. Our offerings are consistently recognized for quality and loyalty to traditional English styles. Additionally, our brewers strive to bring innovative and exciting new flavors to beer-loving folks. In 2010, new ownership and a fresh approach spurred evolutionary change at Green Man. No longer a brew pub, Green Man was able to focus on production, distribution, and growth. Continuing our evolution we have constructed a 3 story, 20,000 square ft., packaging hall, a “brewtique”, and an indoor/outdoor top floor taproom that overlooks production and the Blue Ridge Mountains! It is right here on the South Slope, next to “Dirty Jack’s” (which is still open) and our production brewery. In 2022 Green Man celebrates a milestone 25th Anniversary, bringing back limited batches of classic retired styles freshly updated for the modern palate as well as continuing to explore and innovate with all new styles available in our tap rooms. Numerous and exciting new ventures are in the works as we celebrate our legendary past while looking forward to a green future.

Catawba Brewing Co.
Asheville, North Carolina, United States
In 1999, our founders began brewing with cobbled together dairy equipment in a basement in Glen Alpine, North Carolina. The initial batches of the first beer, a red ale, were sold to three visionary accounts in Asheville who embraced a young craft beer movement. The craft beer scene in Western North Carolina continued to blossom over the years and with it, Catawba grew into a regional brand with locations spanning from the mountains to the sea. Throughout our distribution territory, we seek to combine our passion for the outdoors, craft beer and our community.

White Labs Brewing Co.
Asheville, North Carolina, United States
When Chris White, Ph.D. opened international yeast company, White Labs, in 1995, he knew the best way to help people understand how big of a role yeast plays in beer is to have them actually see, taste and smell the difference. In 2015, we added a 20 BBL brewhouse in our San Diego location to provide wort for yeast propagation and brew beer for our 32-tap Tasting Room, but instead of having four 20 bbl fermenters, we have a wall of 16, 5 bbl fermenters! As you can imagine, many beer styles are dependent on the yeast that is used. For example, the Bavarian hefeweizen characteristics of banana and clove are specific to its yeast strain. Our collection of 16, 5-bbl fermenters, known as the ‘fermenter farm,’ allows us to showcase these differences by brewing one base wort, splitting the batch into different fermenters, and then pitching different yeast strains to create a fun flight that shows off the differences impacted by yeast. By showcasing these flights, we are staying true to the homebrew spirit of small-scale experimentation and the finished beers allow our customers—from homebrewers to professionals and the general beer geek—to see the importance of yeast strain selection.

New Belgium Brewing Company
Asheville, North Carolina, United States
New Belgium Brewing was founded in 1991 in Fort Collins, Colo., by Kim Jordan, a social worker, who built her company the only way a social worker would: People first. Over the past three decades, New Belgium has turned that ethos into a unique “human-powered” business model through practices that were and still are rare in the business world: fully paid healthcare premiums for all coworkers, paying a living wage, open-book management, renewable energy sourcing, a free onsite medical clinic and physician, a deep commitment to philanthropy and advocacy, and much more. With expansions to Asheville, N.C., in 2016; Denver, Colo., in 2018; and the 2021 acquisition of Bell’s Brewery, based in Kalamazoo, Mich., this people-centric model has led New Belgium to become arguably the most popular and fastest-growing American craft brewer today. New Belgium is famous for its flagship beer, Fat Tire Ale; year-round favorites like Voodoo Ranger IPA (America’s #1 IPA brand), Dominga Grapefruit Paloma, and La Folie Sour Brown Ale; and an award-winning wood-aged sour program and innovative limited release beers.
