Fuzzbot started as a clothing company for skateboarding and snowboarding. We also had a passion for creating beer as well. We pivoted operations to start a brewery. Owner Scott Searles AKA HopheadFred was working in the beer industry and had worked for 3 of the top 10 breweries in the U.S. he was able to see where large breweries were failing. He also saw the troubles with startup breweries. He embarked on a crazy journey of brewing the beer, selling the beer and distributing the beer. The steps to accomplish this was far from easy but his fierce tenacity paid off. While not the most conventional way to operate it is a passion driven project. In a way it’s a modern day do it yourself operation much like how craft breweries get started.

Born on a backpacking trip, Arizona Wilderness Brewing Company was created to celebrate the beautiful and diverse state of Arizona through locally driven beer and food. When we're not outside foraging for ingredients ourselves, we're partnering with nearby farms to source the AZ-grown fruit, veggies, grain, and meat that have led us to be consistently ranked among the best breweries in the world. We use water-saving Sinagua malt in every beer we brew, we partner with local companies to compost all of our food waste, and we pursue sustainable efforts whenever possible to ensure the vast Arizona wilderness endures. Join us and drink like you care.

It began on a road trip... Driving on a dark stretch of two lane road, founders Michael and Alissa Marquess were pondering how to better live their creed of ‘finding joy in the adventure’. They came up with a plan that brought together their passions of craft beer, travel, Arizona and the enjoyment of life; they decided to create a brewery. The Mother Road was the moniker given to U.S. Highway 66 by Grapes of Wrath author John Steinbeck, as he shared the story of the fictional Joad family, who traveled the road in hopes of trading desperation and heartache for hope and new beginnings. The Mother Road Brewery now resides along a lost portion of the storied highway, symbolizing both the journey we’ve made and our passion for craft beer, motoring and history.
