    Anderson Craft Ales

    London, Ontario, Canada

The story for Anderson Craft Ales began on a cold Christmas morning way back in the year 2005. After a vision filled night of dancing sugar-plums, a then 19 year old Gavin Anderson ran down the stairs to find Santa had left him the most glorious of presents: a complete homebrewing kit! Later, it was discovered that the kit was in fact purchased by his father, Jim Anderson. And thus began a lifelong obsession with brewing and craft beer. Since that fateful Christmas morning so many years ago, Gavin has brewed hundreds of batches of beer, covering every style of beer imaginable. However, it was while completing a Ph.D. in microbiology and volunteering at a local microbrewery that Gavin realized his passion of brewing could be more than just a hobby. Gavin spent the next two years as head brewer at a newly opened microbrewery, and experienced great success during that time: winning a national professional brewing award, along with four regional awards, and several medals at local competitions. Which brings us to present day. With the full support of his family, Gavin and his father Jim Anderson founded Anderson Craft Ales. We are 100% family owned and independent. This allows us to fulfill our vision and passion of brewing top quality craft beer without compromise. We hope you enjoy our family of beers.

    London Brewing Co-operative

    London, Ontario, Canada

The London Brewing Co-operative was established to bring to market an eclectic style of beers that are brewed in small batches. Our small batch sizes mean we can take risks and utilize a wide range of in-season ingredients and brewing techniques that would not be possible with larger volumes. We select the finest ingredients focusing on local and organic products when available and produce interesting beers that excite the palate and raise awareness of the brewing process. We are the first worker’s co-op brewery outside of Quebec. As we grow we will continue the spirit of co-operatives and ensure that all who are employed by the brewery have an equal say in its operation. We are community-based and seek to be responsive to the needs of or community and to feed back into the spirit of London’s Old East Village. As a worker’s co-op we are interested in the rights and wellbeing of all persons employed and involved with our brewery. All employees will enjoy profit-sharing and an equal voice in the direction and day-to-day operations of the brewery. We seek to change the trend of breweries in Canada of decreasing employment opportunities. We will always employ Londoners and create meaningful employment and meaning work.

    Toboggan Brewing Co.

    London, Ontario, Canada

The origin of our name is an ode to our Forest City heritage, which was a tobogganing mecca in the late 1800's. Toboggan clubs existed all over London, becoming so famous, they attracted visitors from around the world including famed author Mark Twain. Massive wooden ramps were built all over London including sites at: Victoria Park, Western University, the original Carling Brewery on Ann St., and beside the Labatt Brewery. The most impressive ramp was a 485 foot long double chute, located across from us at Wellington and Central near Victoria Park. It's in this spirit of toboganning, where people from London and area come together to have fun and enjoy locally made beer and food, that we bring you the Toboggan Brewing Company.
