About The Watchmaker's Arms

We first opened our doors on 1st May 2015, after an inspiring visit to The Tankerton Arms and other micropubs in Kent. We wanted to create a warm, welcoming space where the community could meet for conversation without the distractions of music and TV. Jack Tavare, who has now set up Hand Brew Co. in Worthing, started brewing at the Watchmaker’s on a 100litre brew kit a year after we opened. When he moved on, we bought the equipment and he taught Rick how to use it. Brewing takes place once a week - one brew produces two casks which sell out very quickly! We have popular house beers along with many seasonal brews. Rick has also brewed in collaboration with Downlands, Lost Pier, Top-Notch and Unbarred to create some amazing one-off beers.
