About Speciation Cellars

WHO WE ARE: Speciation Cellars uses a "nature-first" approach to brewing. We used the Michigan terroir to capture specific wild yeast strains to combine wild and lab-grown microbes to create unique, flavorful beers that reflect the local Michigan environment. SIGNATURE BREWS: We are famous for our complex Sours and Saisons. All of our fermentation is at room temperature and naturally carbonated with Michigan beet sugar & house yeast. DIVERSE OPTIONS: We also serve Lagers, Pale Ales, Wheat Ales, Hoppy Beers and an Imperial Stout on nitro. BEYOND BEER: Enjoy house-made hard cider, hard seltzer, and non-alcoholic options like craft soda and sparkling water. VISIT US: We are located in a historic 100-year-old auto shop tucked in an alley off Wealthy Street in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Our taproom is a welcoming community space for everyone.
