About Sion Kloosterbier

The brewery is part of the monastery Nieuw Sion. With the investment in a small-scale craft beer brewery, Nieuw Sion aims to brew abbey beers, whose raw materials (barley, wheat, rye and hops) are grown on their own land or by farmers in the immediate vicinity of the monastery. The brewer's spent grain is used as animal feed to surrounding dairy farmers (circular agriculture).
