About Meta Abo

Meta Abo was privatized by the Ethiopian Government in 2012, and sold to Diageo, the British liquor and breweries giant. Diageo made significant investments in the brewery, expanding the bottling line. In 2022 Diageo sold the brewery to BGI, part of the French multinational Castel Group.
