About Donnington Brewery
Thomas Arkell bought a 13th-century watermill in idyllic countryside in 1827 and Richard Arkell began brewing on the site in 1865. Today, the mill wheel is still used to drive pumps and machinery to brew our beer the same way 150 years on. You can enjoy our beer, food, accommodation and Cotswold hospitality at any of our 17 tied houses and a number of free trade outlets. We invite you to drink, eat and stay in our pubs for a true taste of the Cotswolds.
