About Dark Horse Brewery
We are a small, independent brewery based at Hetton in the Yorkshire Dales. Our most well-known beer is the Hetton Pale Ale which is available at many fine drinking establishments across the region! We take great pride in producing hand-crafted, traditional ales brewed in a converted 200-year old Laithe Barn - a Yorkshire term derived from Old Norse for a barn or agricultural building. We have been brewing Dark Horse ales since 2008 and have now ‘racked up’ over 30 years of commercial brewing experience. We use only the best British Maris Otter malt, pure Dales water from our own borehole, whole leaf hops and our own unique strain of brewing yeast. Cheers from the Dark Horse Brewery team!
