About Ardgour Ales

Cask and bottle conditioned ales, traditionally brewed in one of the most beautiful locations in the world. Ardgour Ales' Head Brewer, Fergus Stokes, uses top quality malt from Crisp, freshpack hops from all over the world and high attenuation yeasts to create a range of well balanced ales on the brewery's 5 BBL plant. Ardgour (Aird Ghobhar in Scottish Gaelic meaning the height of the goat) is a remote area in the west highlands reached most easily via the Corran Ferry and it is the place itself which is the inspiration for the ales' branding - the goat (gobhar) and buck (boc) which freely roams the Ardgour and Kingairloch hills.
