Our co-founders, Eric McKay and Patrick Murtaugh, were introduced at a young age through the friendship of their parents. Their families would vacation together so it wasn’t long before the two would forge a strong friendship of their own. Years down the road, a well-timed meet-up at a sheep station in Australia, brought their passion for homebrewing and craft beer culture into sharp focus. It was there, at Hardywood Park, where they shared their first glass of full-flavored home-brewed beer. Welcome to Bingo Beer Co, Richmond’s lager focused brewery! We are a production brewery, taproom, arcade, and beer garden all wound up in a Scott’s Addition hangout right on Broad Street. We focus our attention mainly on clean, crushable lager but also enjoy modern IPA, culinary influenced sour beers, and clean and funky farmhouse. The house quickly filled with brewing supplies so they built a garage. The garage quickly got filled with brewing supplies as well! Shortly after Virginia Senate Bill 604 was passed in 2012, Justin and Courtney decided to open a brewery and to put their 2 passions together: Beer and the Arts!
