The Ravenous Pig first opened its doors in 2007 in Winter Park, FL. Chef owner’s James and Julie Petrakis’ commitment to local, seasonal Florida produce and seafood and nose-to-tail whole butchery landed them a James Beard nomination and the praise of food critics from around the country. In 2012 they opened Cask & Larder, a Southern comfort eatery that housed what has come to be known today as The Ravenous Pig Brewing Co. In December 2016, Cask & Larder moved to the Orlando International Airport and The Ravenous Pig moved into its current digs at 565 W Fairbanks Ave. The brewery was still under the moniker Cask & Larder until August of 2019 when it expanded next door and added a 15-barrel system in addition to the 5-barrel system inside the restaurant. Our brewmaster, Larry Foor has been on board with the company since day one. First working as the bar manager at The Ravenous Pig, then opening Cask & Larder. He was an avid homebrewer and when the position of head brewer needed to be filled, it was only natural that he stepped into the role. Foor earned a degree in brewing technology from the prestigious Siebel Institute of Technology in Chicago. After years of dedication and his strong passion for beer, he has helped create and oversees the production of all the brewery's core signature beers as well as the limited release seasonal beers.
