Los fundadores son José Antonio Jiménez y Paco López, que se dedican a la fabricación y comercialización de cervezas artesanas. Los principales objetivos de esta pequeña pyme son fomentar la cultura cervecera en España, así como ocurre en el mercado europeo y americano principalmente, e innovar constantemente en sus creaciones y diversificando la amplia oferta existente. Es posible encontrar esta cerveza artesana en diferentes ferias artesanas que se organizan anualmente en la comunidad catalana, entre las que cabe destacar Fira artesana de Mediona, Fira Jafrè, Fira artesana de Torredembarra y Birrasana (Blanes). Moon nace en otoño de 2008 con la intención de hacerse un hueco como una de las cervezas artesanas de calidad de la provincia de Barcelona. Sus primeras botellas fueron fabricadas usando métodos caseros y kits de fabricación, en el garaje de uno de los integrantes de la empresa. Durante el transcurso de ese tiempo, nace la asociación Calla´t (Cervesers artesans de Lliça D’Amunt), de las que son miembros fundadores.
