Mass produced lagers are certainly not what beer should be… Gallows Hill Brewing Co. aims to produce small batch, full-bodied, hop filled, more flavourful, all natural & interesting beer of exceptional quality to discerning palettes. Beer used to be unique and positive part of communities. Unfortunately this disappeared thanks to the marketing & volume driven approach adopted by some of the mega-brewers. Gallows Hill Brewing Co. beers are all virtually handmade from an all-malt mash in our handcrafted brewhouse - an example of the simple, traditional brewing methods of old.

We’ve been brewing beer since 2014 and have a wide variety on offer. We believe great beer requires seriousness: the best ingredients, dedicated arty crafters, the right equipment, and “gees” and “stokedness”. Our beer names, on the other hand, are all “shits, giggles, sex, drugs and rock ‘n roll”. We have entwined some tongue-in-cheek lightness into our serious craft. The brewers are always playing around with new flavours and techniques, constantly creating new and exciting brews. We invite you to come and take a tour, sample our brews and follow that experience by enjoying a Bavarian Beerhall style restaurant with a couple of beers at the bar of The Woodstock Beerhall.

Focussed on distinctive quality and innovation, our beer is made from the finest natural ingredients at our state-of-the-art Cape Town craft brewery. At Jack Black’s Brewing Co we’re dedicated to brewing beers that inspire us. Our focus is flavour and our philosophy is to innovate while staying true to traditional, hand-crafted methods. In 2007, founding partners Ross and Meghan McCulloch set out to change the craft beer landscape in Cape Town. Having experienced the North American craft beer culture firsthand, it was clear South Africa had much to learn. Fueled with passion, perseverance, and little else – at a time when the words “craft beer” were foreign to most – Jack Black’s has grown to become one of South Africa’s most sought after and well-loved craft beers. Jack Black Brewing Co remains independently owned and operated with a goal to brew some of the highest quality and best tasting beers in Africa.

Noon Gun Brewery’s story began in 2015 when we converted a behemoth of a storage facility into a beer-brewing powerhouse. Located in Capricorn Park in Muizenberg, our beer is made alongside the coast, and we are the luckiest salty sea dogs to get to go to work every morning. Knowing that we had two mammoth prodigies gazing over us, the Noon Gun Garrison spent many hours of darkness and light, brewing, tasting, lifting, measuring (and occasionally taking the forklift for a sneaky spin). As 2017 progressed, our vision started materialising in front of our eyes, and the various flaxen-coloured liquid legacies have been making their way into several taprooms around the Western Cape
