It began in 2013 with a small brewing project only meant to be shared with our close friends. After much experimentation with numerous prototypes we had something special which we wanted to share with the rest of the world. We began brewing commercially with Belgian brewmasters, and Salto was born. Salto brewery is based in Belgrade, Serbia, fuelled with the spirit of exploration, innovation and of course, passion for beer and brewing. Couple this with a commitment to using all the skills we’ve learned and the secrets we’ve discovered on our journey, and you will find a uniquely flavourful range of products to enjoy and savour. To maximise the potentials of our beers we focus on a selected range. We believe in developing crisp, bold flavors, with a unique and recognisable Salto twist. For us brewing is an adventure just as much as a business, and your Salto was made with the same inspiration and passion as the beer we started brewing in small batches for our friends years ago. Naš slogan je JOIN THE ROBOLUTION! Mi posmatramo naše pivo ne samo kao proizvod koji želimo da predstavimo široj publici, već Robolucijom smatramo proces borbe za edukovanjem svih tradicionalnih pivopija I onih koji to nisu, da hedonistički pristupe konzumaciji piva znajući šta konkretno konzumiraju, da u potpunosti uživaju u svakom gutljaju, aromi i stilu. The name of our craft brewery was created as a synergy of love of retro-futurism (perception of the future from the 80s of the 20th century, the most creative period of thinking about the future, sc-fi environment, electronic music, synth wave and robotics) and quality beer. Our slogan is JOIN THE ROBOLUTION! We view our beer not only as a product that we want to present to a wider audience, but we consider Robolution to be a process of struggle to educate all traditional beer drinkers and those who are not, to hedonistically approach beer consumption knowing what they consume, to fully enjoy every sip, aroma and style.

Beogradska industrija piva – BIP zvanično započinje rad pod ovim imenom januara 1963. godine. U sastav BIP-a tada ulaze ’’Industrija piva 7. Juli'' (Vajfertova pivara), ''Pivara Beograd'' (Bajlonijeva pivara) i preduzeća ''Bezalko''. Osnovna delatnost udruženog kolektiva bila je proizvodnja piva, slada, sirupa, leda i bezalkoholnih pića. Udruživanje označava i početak znatnih ulaganja u izgradnju, rekonstrukciju i modernizaciju pogona, koji je do tada bio na nivou iz perioda pre Drugog svetskog rata. U prvoj fazi rekonstrukcije između 1963-1966. godine renovirana je sladara, koja i danas može da proizvede oko 5.000 tona slada godišnje, a u pogon je puštena i nova moderna flašara Vandergeten kapaciteta 24.000 boca piva na sat. Sa integracijom je nastavljeno i već 1967. godine BIP-ovoj porodici se pridružuje i Preduzeće za proizvodnju piva i slada ''Ovčar'' Čačak, koji i danas posluje u sastavu BIP-a pod imenom ’’Beogradska industrija piva Beograd - pogon Čačak’’. U sastav BIP-a 1970. godine ulaze fabrika sirćeta ‘’Semberija’’ i beogradski pogon IPK ’’Servo Mihalj’’ iz Krnjače. Sa ulaganjem u modernizaciju proizvodnje se nastavilo i u narednim godinama te je 1968. godine u pogon puštena nova varionica Steineker sa kapacitetom 700.000 hektolitara piva, ugrađene su dve nove linije za otakanje piva i jedna nova za otakanje bezalkoholnih pića. Pogon u Čačku je takođe modernizovan sa novom flašarom i linijama za otakanje piva i sokova.
