Orchard Road Brewery was established in April 2017 and was born from my passion in search of the perfect pint of ale. There have been occasions when, for me, the ale has not lived up to my expectations, but the growing number of excellent ales has kept my spirits up and the search continues! Our goal is to not only search for the perfect pint, but to ultimately produce our own perfect ales. Obviously, our idea of the perfect pint will not necessarily be the same as others. So, we are hoping to take our customers on the same journey and plan to involve as many as we can in developing tastes and styles to help find everyone's perfect pint. The brewing has taken a back seat during the refurbishment and the opening of ORB but, once established, I will be back to my brew lab in search of that perfect recipe. ORB Micropub will allow us to involve our customers in developing tastes and styles and we will introduce small quantity sample brews over the coming 12 months.

Three Brothers Brewing Company is the vision of Kit Dodd, to start up and run a microbrewery in his home town of Eaglescliffe, County Durham. After brewing for 5 years, Kit decided the time was right to step out and make his vision a reality. Along with his older brother Dave and brother in law Chris, they turned an empty shell industrial unit into a modern and efficient brewery, capable of producing 16000 pints per week. What makes Three Brothers Brewing Company different? Many breweries have the ability to make great craft beer, some can make a variety of great beers but with a small pilot plant we have ability to trial and perfect our recipes to ensure we only supply our very best. Add in Kit’s chemical engineering degree and our extensive range of quality control equipment, we can ensure the consistency and quality of our beers remain at the highest standard. But the real difference is in the family and their ability to adapt and innovate. Dave has worked as a mechanical engineer for a large number of years and is building a range of purpose built machinery to enhance the efficiency of the brewery. Chris has worked in catering for twenty years so understands the importance of presentation, style and fine detail, not to mention his skill as a chef for our seasonal beer and food pairing nights! It is the blend of passion, experience, innovation and style that makes the beer we produce competitively tasty, refreshingly different and always of the highest quality.

We are based in Guisborough, nestled between the North Yorkshire moors and the still unspoilt coast line of the north east. The unit was taken on as a blank canvas and the brewery fitted out specifically for the best way to make the best beer. There is a 5bbl brew plant that has one automated piece of equipment and that is the Hot Liquor Tank’s thermostat, other than that it’s hands on all the way. This allows each brew to be hand crafted (prodded and poked, soothed and sifted) to ensure it’s at its peak in time for drinking.

Evidence of brewing at the site in Hartlepool dates back to 16th century and The Lion Brewery has been home to Camerons since 1865. The brewing team at Camerons combine these with water drawn from two of the artesian wells located 230ft below the brewery.
