    Market Harborough, North Northamptonshire, England

We started Braybrooke in 2017 with just one aim: to make really good, proper lager. To do this we use state-of-the-art equipment, great care and the best ingredients available. The result is a selection of unfiltered, unpasteurised and naturally carbonated beers that have complexity whilst retaining the refreshing drinkability every great lager should have.

    Mount Saint Bernard Abbey

    Coalville, Leicestershire, England

When the inviability of farming became obvious, we began to look for an alternative source of income and common work. We aimed to establish an industry in which many of us could be involved. Brewing met our requirements. After much careful research and community discussion, we decided to revive the Abbey’s beer-making tradition. We know for a fact that beer was brewed here in the nineteenth century and, contrary to widespread perception, monastic brewing has never been confined only to the Low Countries. Past visitors to our community have left accounts expressing their liking for the monks’ table beer. Although the historic recipe has been lost, we’re certain that the ale we’re brewing now is at least as delicious and nurturing.

    Wicked Hathern Brewery

    Loughborough, Nottinghamshire, England

John Worsfold has never been busier since he took early retirement in 2002 from a long career working as a dynamics engineer for the power industry. Though in his 70’s he remains spritely and young at heart, and claims that the secret of his longevity is never being too far away from his next pint! He started an interesting challenge with a similarly minded friend in 2011 to drink his way through the 1001 best beers in the world, having received the book from his grandsons for his birthday that year. He is currently at number 390!! Away from the brewery, John is chairman of Hathern Band and heavily involved in many volunteer roles and charities in the village of Hathern. Sean O’Neill has spent his career working in large multinational companies in a variety of marketing and sales roles. Though he runs 2 other businesses and coaches kids at his local cricket club, he still devotes plenty of time to Wicked Hathern Brewery. He believes that the brewery should provide distinctive products, full of flavour, to suit the different tastes of the discerning real ale, lager and cider drinker. He feels odd without a full pint glass in his hand!! Away from his business Sean is an avid photographer, and loves his sport. You will often find him watching his beloved Southampton F.C., Leicester Tigers, Hampshire C.C. or at the races, all perfect beer drinking activities.
