We make beer (and not beer). Handcrafted, naturally unfiltered, undiminished, untamed and unbelievable tasty.

The Prancing Pony is located in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia. The beers are created by Head Brewer, Frank Samson, and brewed by a team of passionate brewers. Their unlimited imagination drives them to craft beers with unsurpassed, long and lingering flavours made from the finest ingredients, using traditional brewing methods.  

Right from our humble beginnings, the Pony has won over 170 accolades and awards for its beers and business. The brewery is the proud holder of the Supreme Champion Trophy for the India Red Ale at the International Beer Challenge (IBC) in London (2016).  Best Small Australian Brewery (2015), Community Craft Brewery (2019), Ethnic Business Award Winner (2025), IBC Highly Commended Brewer of the Year (2025) among many, many others.

The Brewshed restaurant is located adjacent to our brewing space.  Our Brewshed is in Totness, South Australia in the Adelaide Hills. Here you will encounter a 16-tap bar offering a broad selection of beers, including one-off speciality beers and short run brews that are available only at the Brewshed.
