Estas palabras supusieron el mayor momento de paz documentado en la historia de la humanidad; fueron las primeras palabras que Jesús dijo a sus discípulos tras su resurrección. Éstos, quienes tras su muerte estaban dudosos y angustiados por su persecución a causa de su fe, al verle por fin pudieron tranquilizarse y supieron que todo saldría bien.
