En la cocina de la abuela Carmen cada fin de semana se empezó a preparar La Maldita. La abuela, muy impaciente, preguntaba cada cinco minutos cuándo estaría lista la cerveza. 

Así surgieron las primeras malditas, explicándole a Carmen que tendría que echarse unas cuantas siestas antes de que la cerveza estuviera lista. Se cocinaba así, "a fuego lento", con mimo y esmero.
