## About

Durante muchos años veraneamos en la zona de Villarrica, pensando que algún día cuando jubiláramos, nos quedaríamos a vivir. Pero... nos adelantamos, arrancamos de Santiago, la vida agitada y la falta de tiempo para la familia, y nos vinimos con la idea de elaborar cerveza artesanal premium.

Este maravilloso brebaje lo llevamos ambos en la sangre, Juan Carlos por su ascendencia y nacionalidad belga, cuyo bisabuelo tuvo una cervecería en Bélgica, y María Elena con ascendencia alemana y tradición familiar cervecera en Osorno, con la antigua Cerveza Aubel.

Durante el año 2007 construimos el Complejo Turístico Terracrater con la planta cervecera, cabañas y restaurant, abriendo las puertas al público el 5 de febrero de 2008.

Este proyecto cervecero tiene algo muy especial: el diseño, la construcción de los equipos y su montaje es obra de Juan Carlos, quién además es maestro cervecero desde su fundación.

María Elena por su parte, dedicó muchas horas para hacer el paisajismo y construcción del jardín, posteriormente el año 2011 construyó el nuevo restaurante Cervecera Crater sobre la ruta Villarrica a Pucón, del cual se encarga personalmente junto a los dos hijos menores.
