Brewing Tree Beer Company was founded in 2018 by the husband and wife team of Mark and Gina Thompson. They strive to provide a space that is authentic, local, and relaxed.

Mark Thompson grew up locally and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biology from James Madison University. He started breweries in Portland and Denver before coming home to found Starr Hill Brewery in 1999. Mark is considered to be one of the founders of craft beer in Virginia and brings his passions to the beers at Brewing Tree.
