The birth of Bent Gate. Inspired by the guys love for adventuring, they named the brewery Bent Gate. For those of you that don't know this is a type of carabiner, designed for climber and the use on quickdraw. The bent gate allows an easy insertion of the rope. The brewery is located in Gjerdrum, Norway. When the guys are not brewing beer, they can be found in the mountains either rock climbing, mountain biking or skiing.

I 2015 fikk vi også salgsbevilling slik at øl med alkoholprosent inntil 4,7% kan selges i bryggeriet. Ølbryggingen blir ivaretatt av Arthur, som er utdannet Diplombrygger fra Den Scandinaviske Bryggerhøjskole i København. Nesten alt øl brygges for servering på Ruten Fjellstue, men det hender at det er noen flasker for salg i bryggeriet. Arthur brygger flere ulike øltyper og det vil variere gjennom året hva som er tilgjengelig. Det vil som regel si 5-6 ulike øl. Arthurs spesialitet er "Sevjeøl". Dette ølet brygges med bjørkesevje på ulike måter og krydres med Ryllik og Mjødurt.
