We love the outdoors and enjoying nature to the max, whether we are in the sea or on the mountains. With an Eco conscious mindset, we are attempting to create as little a negative impact on the world as possible when brewing. We currently operate on a Solar site. Spent grain is recycled into local agricultural as animal feed. Spent yeast and hops are in turn recycled into compost directly on site. We have a one tree one brew policy, where we have committed to planting a tree for every batch brewed. We are by no means perfect, but we are trying… This also doesn’t stop with our beer production. All our Merch is produced exclusively from organic cotton. It is all EarthPositive, which is manufactured at facilities powered by green renewable energy, from low-impact raw materials and a member of the Fair Wear Foundation who protect workers rights and conditions. This amounts to an overall carbon footprint reduction of 90% compared to commonplace practices. We have ambitions for further carbon offsetting programs, so watch this space for those, and look to support the local community wherever possible.

The brewery springs from the need to have more good beer. Beer deserving of a certain attention. Beer that forces you to confront and consider what you are drinking. Upfront hops, lingering bitternesses, warming alcohols, bodies of malt. Lengths and depths of flavour. We make Pale Ales, IPA’s and old school London Porters and Stouts towards this end. Bottled alive, to give them time to grow. Our brews sometimes focus on the aromas, flavours and bitterness of hops; the complex warmth and layers of roasted malts; the clarity of cold fermentations; or the acidity, tannin, and texture contributed by mixed fermentations, by time and barrels, wild yeast and bacteria. All guided by the principles of simplicity and balance.

We are a brewery and tank bar in the heart of Hackney Wick, brewing an ever-changing range of bold, characterful, uncompromising and generously-hopped beers with loads of flavour. At the Tank Bar, our beer is poured straight from the tank - it doesn't get fresher than that. 10 big tanks with 10 different beers behind a 10 meter long bar. Open from midday every day.
