1. Belschnickel Brewery
Hull, East Yorkshire, England
We are a Nano Brewery based in Hull / England selling a combination of 440ml canned core beers and 750ml speciality bottled beers. We sell to small independent bars, bottle shops and restaurants in our local area and also directly to customers via farmers markets and small local festivals. Belschnickel Brewery is named after a German folklore character from the southwestern region of Germany where Kevin our Head Brewer was born. We chose this name as our beer names and branding tie into German language and culture and is a theme we wish to continue throughout our line of beers whilst we grow.
2. Bricknell Brewery
Hull, East Yorkshire, England
Bricknell Brewery is a small scale brewery specialising in the production of hand-crafted bottle-conditioned beers that are very different to the beers you'll find in supermarkets. A typical brew size is just 140 to 150 litres, so the emphasis is on quality, not quantity. Everything is done by hand, from the brewing stage through to bottling and adding the labels. We even grow our own hops, which we use in some of our seasonal brews. The graphic on our home page shows our Fuggles hops in early September. On average we brew once a week and there are about 12-13 different beers available at any given time. Check out what's available via the 'Our Beers' section of the website. We don't use any finings so all of our beers are vegan-friendly, but they're not always crystal clear like supermarket beers. It's the flavour that counts!

From that the Atom story began. Our ethos has not been just about making beer, our long-term goal is to create an educational environment to inspire students of all ages and build a community. We launched in 2014 in Hull, funded by family and friends. In 2018 we opened our first venue in Hull city centre, followed with our second venue in Beverley in 2020. We have produced hundreds of different beers, distributed across the UK and beyond. We aim to produce beer that is drinkable, approachable and flavoursome. We are tiny, our annual output will be appx 40HL in year one - our output would need to be multiplied more than 50x to become a microbrewery on Untappd figures. 8. Vittles And Company
Hull, East Yorkshire, England
We’re a micro-brewery / bar / bottle shop based in the heart of Hull’s resurgent Old Town. We’re part of the newly refurbished Trinity Market, next door to the magnificent minster, where we’re proud to work alongside a group of vibrant, exciting street food and drink outlets. We’ve got perhaps the smallest commercial brewery in Hull (50 Litres at a time!), supplying our own shop and a few local establishments. Paired to this is a fully working bar, and a retail space selling some seriously great UK Craft and International beers. We also try to support local suppliers wherever possible, and have a range of local beers, wines and ciders from Hull and East Yorkshire. We’ve got a particular love for beer and food pairing (hence locating ourselves right in the middle of a dozen or so amazing food suppliers). All of our beers carry food pairing advice, and we do everything we can to spread the word about the great relationship that exists between the two. We’re always delighted to meet new people at the bar, so do pop down if you’re in the area, grab yourself some great food, and come let us help you choose a great beer to enjoy it with!
