The brainchild of 2 great mates, Hemingway’s Brewery is located in two Idyllic locations in Far North Queensland. More than just breweries, the venues overlook the scenic mountains and tranquil waters of Cairns and Port Douglas. Our brewer’s pride themselves on producing the highest quality beers which have quickly gained local following, and made 2018 GABS Hottest 100 listings. Highly innovative, we have a range of 8 core beers. We also brew unique seasonal beers using the bounty of local produce available to us in the tropics. I left my home town of Cairns at twenty-six. A qualified veterinary surgeon. I headed to the UK. It was during this incredible time, that I became fascinated with the process of beer production. How was it made? Where were the ingredients sourced? The biochemical processes, the technicalities of yeast wrangling. I spent time in microbreweries, talking to brewers and reading everything I could get my hands on. I visited farm markets and obscure bottle shops on a journey of discovery, with the aim of recreating everything I learned with my home pilot system. Many brewing hours later, here we are! We're on a mission to bring the people of Cairns everything we have learned and experienced about good quality beer! We;re talking more than just the act of beer consumption. We're talking about the process of producing top-quality ale. We're talking pure, filtered water, fresh local flavours and tropical inspiration. Ever wondered what really matters? We did, and it’s the ethos of our company, the ethos of crafting great beer. Because what matters in the end is the journey, it’s the experience, the process. It’s creating something good and sharing it with others, and the enjoyment that sharing a good thing brings. Macalister Brewing Company, established 2017, is located at the base of the picturesque Macalister Range, 20 minutes North of Cairns, at Smithfield. We are a small microbrewery producing a range of craft beers by hand, for the love of beer! We brew fresh, unpasteurised, unfiltered, preservative free, naturally conditioned beers for the Cairns Region to enjoy. Our brewery was born out of a passion for brewing tasty fresh beer that got a bit out of control! Our founder and brewer Rob has a degree in Chemistry and worked for many years as Plant Manager in the Chemical Industry. For the last 9 years, however, he has been teaching Chemistry at the local high school. A few local homebrew competition wins fuelled the obsession, followed by a state and a national category win. This then led to a 4 year Graduate Diploma in Brewing Science at Federation University, and then opening a brewery.

Coral Sea Brewing Co. produce's unproven beer and has a decent variety of ones to choose from. They are most well known for "Tropic Lager", which is a Pale Lager and "Tropic IPA", which is an International IPA. Their primary focus is brewing Pale Lagers and IPAs.
