We’ve been brewing beer in the fine city of Bristol since early 2007. From our site in Easton, our team currently brews and packages in excess of one and a half million pints a year. That’s pints, full pints and nothing but pints (apart from the odd 440ml can, but we don’t talk about those.) Never shying away from trying out new ideas, we have an extensive back catalogue of recipes covering a vast array of styles and ABV’s. Though all different in their own way, they were all born out of a desire to make beer that we are proud of and, importantly, that we really want to drink ourselves.

We are particularly fascinated by the precision of German brewing and the idiosyncratic nature of Belgian beers, and we chose the brewhouse of our dreams that could help us make these wonders of fermentation. Our Taproom is open every Friday (4pm-10pm) and Saturday (1pm-10pm), and some Sundays for events – keep track on our social media channels! At Wiper and True we love one thing: beautiful beer. We first fell in love with brewing on the stove at home, surrounded by pots, pans and raw ingredients. Tinkering endlessly, we studied the ancient art of our vocation. Nomadically brewing around the country, we learned from fantastically generous, knowledgeable artisans, honing our craft along the way. Although we've come along way since our early days, all of our recipes today stem from the same original desire to create something beautiful and delicious. Today, we’ve outgrown our roots as nomadic brewers, and operate out of two production sites. The first, the original brewery that we built in St Werburghs, Bristol, is where we focus on barrel-aged and mixed fermentation beers. New challenges continually arise and are met by our talented team of resourceful brewers and packers, as we continue producing top notch beers. In July 2022 we opened a second, much larger new headquarters in Old Market. Our large-scale brewing operations now take place on a custom-designed, German-engineered brewkit, allowing us to more than double our beer production capacity whilst maintaining a laser-sharp focus on quality and refinement. Our beers are currently available to order from us directly for home delivery in Bristol and nationwide. You can also buy online and in discerning bottle shops and off-licences around Bristol, nationwide and across the globe.
